Despite the technological maturity of the production process in the field of aluminium castings, the customer was faced with a serious obstacle – an outdated method of transporting material and finished products. Manual handling could no longer keep up with the growth in production and the need for flexible warehouse management.

Solution → Intelligent logistics

Proposal comprehensive solution for intelligent logisticswhich provided:

  • AMR robots (autonomous mobile robots) with SLAM navigation – compact, powerful and flexible (able to provide transport between any pallet positions in the system, typically thousands of pallet positions in the system).
  • Fleet management system – powerful management system for managing all AMR robots in the system (dozens of AMR robots, even more than a hundred AMR robots).
  • Seamless connection to MES and WMS systemswhich enables automated entry of transport requirements into the Fleet management system.

  • Import of material from warehouse to production lines.
  • Taking empty cages back to the warehouse.
  • Transportation of finished products for inspection and then to the finished products warehouse.
